Finally, the "skin-issue" is solved..!

Yeah, I´ve had great problems to find an easy and reasonably fast way to get the skin right on my Orks, but it´s more or less "solved" now, so I actually can go forward with my painting!

I have Drak Angels Green over the Chaos Black spray, as a base colour. When I tried different ways to get it right, nothing looked good to me. I brushed on Snot Green and that was okay, but it needed to be lighter..! Goblin Green look awful but after trying yesterday again, I found out that was more due to my brushes..! I tried again, Dark Angels Green foloowed by a Gobbo Green dry-brush (yeah, dry-brush...) and I liked the result!

On the pic above, the left Gobbo-Grot is just painted with Dark Angels Green, the next Dark Angels Green plus a brush of Snot Green (too dark) while the last one has a base of Dark Angels Green followed by a Bobbo-Green brush. I think the last one looks okay!
It looks slightly better in real life though, the flash is not making it justice methinks...

What do you think..? :)

New stuff and some games

Oi, weedy gitz, long time noo see...

Yeah, I´ve been busy and didn´t feel it was a point, writing anything when Chris is "missing"... :(
Anyways, a lot have happened, I´ve got loads of new stuff and played quite a few games!

Don´t know where to start really, but I did end up with those Orks from a friend anyways. Got roughly:

1 Killa Kan
1 Mega Armour Nob
1 Warboss
2 Nobz
3 Warbikes
2 Trukks built
2 Trukks unbuilt
40-50 Orks, most of ´em built but some unbuilt

Then I´ve also managed to get my hands on another 3 Warbikes, 5 Mega Armour Nobz and 12 Strom Boyz (inkl. 1 Nob).

It feels as if I have too much right now..! I´ll try to pick out 2000-2500p to work with first. Oh, and I have easily enough stuff to make a 1500-1700p Speed Freeks army!

I´ve painted some, on Grots, Sluggas and Killa Kanz but haven´t finished anything entirely (was sick with the flu for a whole week, didn´t manage to do anything that week...).

Oh, an I´ve played, lots..! First, against the friend that I go the Orks from. He brough his Guards, mostly infantry (lots of expensive troops and elites) backed up by a Hellhound and a Chimera. In short, the big shootas and Scorcha Buggies of mine inflicted horrendous casulties on him. His Hellhound knocked out a Scorcha Buggy when it arrived (Escalation) but the Tankbustas dealt with it right after that. We played a full nine turns and in the last turn, 3 Killa Kanz assaulted his last ten men and killed them, I won and wiped the Guards out!
His army was probably more anti-Beakie (lots of plasmas, lascannons and missile launchers) and that helped me, still they were too few since he had expensive stuff.

Next up, I played Beakie-Matte, 2000p, and for the first time used Trukk Boyz... He tried new anti-ork stuff, a Libby with Fear of the Darkness and Fury of the Ancients, more AssCans than you could shake a stick at! a Whirlwind, Predator Annihilator with heavy bolters and loads of Tacticals..!
I launched a fast attack on one flank, 3 Trukks (one with Nobz and Warbos, 2 with Trukk Boyz) plus 2 Scorcha Buggies. The rest advanced up the middle, backed up by a few Killa Kanz.
My fast column reached him (well, half of them! ;) ) and in a large assault that took most of the game, he lost three full Tacticals, one Rhino, one Land Speeder and the Libby. I lost 12, or so, Trukk Boyz, some Nobz and the vehicles. I got out on top there but on the other flank, I took heavy casulties to his AssCan termies and Assault Marines, but a few Sluggas managed to assault his Termies, kill a few and send them packing! In the end, Ilost most stuff there but a Killa Kan reached his Predator, destroyed it and then ripped the tracks and launcher of the Whirlwind. A few more termies were gunned down by Lobba and Big shoota fire and in the end he only had eight Assault Marines, one Master (wounded), one Termie and one damaged ´Speeder (no gunz). I had less than ten Sluggas, but 3 Killa Kanz (only one was destroyed), my Warboss and a few Nobz (more than 50%), some Grotz, about 8 Trukkers´ (in two Mobz) and 9 Kommandoes. It was a nice win for me (we played Seek & Destroy, Gamma).

Then, another friend wanted to try out his two 1700p tournie armies (Blood Angels and iron Warriors, ouch!), no problemo I said!
Firstly I played the Iron Warriors, it was some weird Tournie-mission with loads of special rules and a deployment zone of only 6" (!!!) for all but Fast Attacks (15").
he had, roughly:

Nasty Dameon Prince (statured)

3 CSM Squads (8) with lascannons and stuff.

2*2 Oblitz

2 Defilers (indirect)

Bassie

Predator with mutated hull (lascannons)

I played like in the last game, a fast column atacked up the left flank. This time it went even better and I quickly killed 2 Oblitz, 8 Marines, and held up a Defiler (it took four turns for the Trkkers´ to kill but I only lost 2 Orks). He counter attack, the Prince on my Warboss. grimfang took two wounds 8another two were saved by his Cybork Body) and my power klaw snipped the weedy git in two! (S10, hehe!). That flanking force swept onwwards, the Warboss killed the other Defiler in close combat while the Trukkers dealt with the Predator and the Trukks the Bassie.
In the middle, another CSM Squad was swallowed by 20 Grots and Sluggas but on my right, the tankbustas were wiped out by the third CSM Squad and two Oblitz. In the end, the Sluggas reach them, together with some Grots and wiped both out! The Grots even wounded a Oblit on close combat!!
I won with another wipe-out!

Against the Blood Angels it were nastier, another weird mission were you got points for killing the Commander, holding the middle, the deployment zones, neutral ground as well as killing two chosen enemy Squads (kept secret). The deployment were slightly" tilted, if you know what I mean, diagonal or so...
Once again I launched a flanking attack but it didn´t go as aplanned, one Trukk got struck in terrain, the Scorchas were blasted to hell and the Trukkers that attacked a small Tactical lost the combat on the charge..! his 8, or so, Tacticals killed 4 Orks while I killed two Beakiez. The combat took a few turns and in the end I won but the Orks were quickly gunned down. In the meantime, his DC rolled a "1" followed by a "5", just making them able to charge a Slugga Mob..! In the end, I won the combat with the help of the other Trukkers but 18 Sluggas and 4 Trukkerz´died (I did kill 10 DC-troopers and the Chappie though). The Warboss couldn´t get anywhere with his Trukk and very late reached combat, killed a Tactical but got a Vindicator hit on them, killing 4 Nobz...
On the other flank, I was cut to ribbons but one Killa Kan and a few Sluggas managed to walk through a Tactical, Scouts Squad and Assault Squad, they were later wiped out though. The Tankbustas hit his Baal loads of time but I never rolled better than "3"...
In the end, I got 1600p, or so, he 1800p, giving him a small victory.
I was happy though, his amry was very nasty and I rolled very badly while he rolled far better, under the tough conditions, I still did well...

He had, roughly, Chappie plus nasty Death Company

And then, yesterday, I played another two games! First against Beakie-Gay Knight Matte in another Seek & Destroy, Gamma. he had a weird list with 2 termie-Squads (asscans), one led by a Chappie, the other in a Land Raider led by a Master. Other than that, one Predator, 1 Whirlwind, 3 Bikes, some Scouts and a Tactical.
It went very fast, I popped the Whirlwind with Big Shootas in turn 1 (!!!), then charged his Master with my Warboss and pals (tey had disembarked to asscan me) while the Tactical was assaulted by one Trukker Mob. Unsurprisingly, 6 Nobz massacred his termies while the Warboss power klawed his Master. The land Raider was later cauhgt by a Dread while the 2nd, Deep Striking Termie Squad was caught by the Trukkers... Ouch! The Predator was hit many times by Tankbustas and in the end killed, the rest shot up.
I wiped him out in turn 5 or so. Very nasty but his list was more anti-Beakie and used poorly...

And finally, against Tau... Another tournie-guy that wanted to try out his crap. ;)

We played a Cleanse-variant, with Escalataion and the quarters were assigned numbers, 1, 2 , 3 or 5 (secretly). At the end, my assigned numbers was added to his and then multiplied by 75p, that what they were worth if you had them.

I got first turn and started to advance, due to Concealment nothing was seen. In his turn, some ladz were killed and the Grots were Pinned (grr!).
In my 2nd turn, all bu the Kanz and Dread arrived. I launched a fast attack on one flank, using a building to shield some of the vehicles. Big Shoota fire killed a few Fish´edz.

In his 2nd turn, both tanks appaered and my Scorcha Buggies and one Trukk was blasted apart, eight Trukkers and more Boyz were gunned down...
In my third turn, the Kanz and Dreadz arrived, to support the fast attack (or what was left of it!) while the rest advanced. The Warboss and Nobz managed to assault some Fire Warriors but rolled badly and only killed 5 (which was good as they held!). Big Shoota Fire and the Lobbas killed a couple of Fire Warriors...
In his 3rd, the Flamer Crisis arrived and Deep Struck, toasting my Lobbas which fled... More Boyz were killed and Rail Gunz basically wiped out the Kanz and Dread (the Dread and one Kan survived, both immobilized and Stunned). But, the Warboss and Nobz made Fish´n Chips of "their" Fire Warriors and moved (only) 1" tooward the Broadsides...

Me again, I kept advancing, killed a few Fire Warriors but more importantly, the Warboss and Nobz killed off all Drones and one Broadside in the assault, one Nob died and the suits held!
Next turn, more boyz were killed and one Slugga Mob were Pinned... But the Broadsides were wiped out! I got another 1"-roll for massacre though...
In the next turn, the surviving Trukker Nob, in his seconf attaempt, assaulted and hit the Ion-cannon Hammer head four times!! Two glancing hits were scored and one of them destroyed it!
The tankbustas managed to down the other, trying to hid behind a small building.
In the assault, the Warboss assaulted and killed the Ethereal while the Nobz wiped out its Fire Warrior Squad.

After that, it was mop-up, I killed the last Fire Warrior Squad with the Tankbustas by assaulting them in a building. He shot me up badly (the Crisis Commander arrived in turn 5 i think), when the dust settled I had 14 Grots, the Warboss and 1 Nob, 8 tankbustas, 6 fleeing Sluggas, another 7 Sluggas, not fleeing.
The Grots contested my deployment zone while the Tankbustas held one.
He had all Crisis Suits left (Commander and friend, one alone and 2 in my deployement zone).
I got more points for killing Fish´edz (1200 or so, against his 1000p) but he held two quarters, i only one. And to make it worse, his two were assigned more points... In the end, he got 1800p-something, I 1600p something. He got 222 more Vps, giving him a 12-8 tournie-win.
I was still very happy, I killed more, what more can an Ork say! ;) And did quite well, it was very tough against those ultra-hard Fish´edz! And the Warboss once again was the hero 8and the trukker-Nob, ripping apart a Hammerhead!).

Da ´arf-trakk

Oi, weedy gitz! Grimfang´s new, improoved, propa´ ride is on its way, juss so ya nooz...

Yepp, that´s right, it´s on it´s way... :) I´ve not done a great deal the last week, had a game against some ´umies and got thrashed badly... Was not that fun, the weedy zogger set up the terrain before I got to the club and naturally there were hardly no terrain and nothing to hide behind... It was quite close but he won by holding one more Loot-counter. Next time I´ll make sure the terrain is right.

After that I wasn´t not very keen on any modelling or painting but got my thumb out yesterday, painted on a couple of Grots, those Goblin-conversions are almost finished, expect pics soon. Then I started to build this beauty..! I hate resin and promised myself to not buy anymore from ForgeWorld (we´ll see... ;) ), the threads was a mess but still I managed to fix this in under two hours..! That´s ultra-fast for me! Still some things to do though, fix ram, weapon, turbo-booster etc. But that´s the fun part! ;)

Oh, and I order Imperial Armour 2, to actually see what a Gunwagon does, maybe it´s better than a Wartrukk..? ;D

Oi! Da weedy skumgrods need sumwhere ter ´ide from da ded ´ard an propa´ ladz sur we built ´dis fer da weedy zoggerz...

Yeah, that´s right, my first piece of terrain for quite some time has been all but finished. I think it looks good, eh..? :) I still need to paint the edge of the base (Graveyard Earth) and add some static flock to the ruins (to look like lichen or something) but that´s it!

The base is made from wood with GW-sand glued on (PVA glue). I then sprayed it Chaos Black (without the ruins glued on) and painted it Bestial Brown with a dry-brush of Bubonic Brown and then, finally a dry-brush of Bleached Bone (which I might have made too heavy?). The ruins were sprayed with Rough-Coat (textured Codex Grey spray) which was dry-brushed with Vallejo´s "Fortress Grey" (don´t remember their name on that almost similar colour?). The plants are all but one from GW, the Lustrian ones. Onely the one in the middle, closest to the camera is non-GW (don´t know the manufacter but I think it´s German) . And the static grass is also from GW.

I will build some more but may cut-up some of the ruins and alter their shape first.

I got first turn and with an unusual accuracy, the Tankbustas scored two hits on the Pred and opped it! Big Shoota fire killed one Beakie as did the Lobbas. In his turn, the Kanz was fired at (I passed one ´plate save for the laskannon on the Dread!) and took damage, one big shoota, one ´klaw ripped off as well as an immobilized result. The Beakies charged in and an assault lasting almost all the game was the result. I lost twenty Sluggas and one Kan in that assault but killed 14 Plague Beakies, 7 Plaguebearers and 5 Possessed! On the other flank the Grots and other Slugga Mob (Thuggrim´s) were wiped out almost to a man (Ork!), only one slugga survived but Grimfang came to the rescue and the Beakies lost another 14 men plus their ´boss (killed by Thuggrim, the same Nob who killed a Dark Panzee ´boss not long ago!). Grimfang killed five of those Plaguebeakies himself, with his ´klaw! He and a Nob was wounded.

The game ended with three quarters to me and none to him. I lost 39 Sluggas, all the Grots, 1 Kan (abandonded since it was immobilised and I moved the rest away), the Buggy and damage to all remaining Kanz and the Dread. He had two Possessed left, in close combat with the Dread and Kanz... ;) I was extremely glad to see the Tankbustas pop first the Pred, then thre Rhino (with Possessed still inside!) and the finally, the Dread..! They also passed two saves from Nurgle´s Rot out of two inflicted, truly a heroic Mob!

Modelling wise I´ve cleaned two Grots (the new metal ones I bought) and will paint some later tonight, Cheers and

Yes, it´s arrived!! Yesterday. I mentioned it in my last post but figured I would post a totally new one with pics, it certainly deserves so!

It looks pretty okay, I´ve build many FW kits (mainly Marine and Imperial Guard tanks and tank accessories) and this is hardly the worst I´ve received. Tracks in resin can be a pain in the bottom-hole but I think I can fix any mould lines and flash.

I´ve washed it two times, with soap under running, semi-warm water but there´s still grease and oil left on it. Guess I´ll have to re-read FW´s guide on their site and see what else I can do. If I spray it as it is now, it will probably turn out like that Drop Pod from last Spring (don´t wanna talk about it... ;) ).

This will be my Warboss and his Bodyguard´s personal ("count-as-") Wartrukk, I think it looks great as that and I´ve not read the rules for the FW Gunwagon anyways... (Will order IA2 update soon... :P ) I don´t have any single rokkit in my army, except on the Tankbustas, but this one might get one. Might I say as I don´t have any to give it but I have a big shoota... The Rokkit is cheaper and that´s the only reason I want it, to be able to get more of the other vehicle upgrades and kepe it cheap. But we´ll see.

Oi, dose weedy Blud Beakies and Bug-Eyez were tuffer dan we thought...

Hi, not that much to report paintingwise though I´ve started to build another twenty Sluggas, they´re needed..! Oh, and I have sixty metal Grots, six each of the variants (no Snots though), they´re really great and probably my fav models right now! :)

I did play two battles this Tuesday. Me, Heenrik and Mattias played at my place. They met each other first and Henke beat Matte´s Bug-eyez to a pulp with his Blud Beakiez. Well, it was actually pretty close but the Blood Angels won (surprised, eh..? ;P)...

After that, I faced the Blood Angels and lost... The weedy git knew we had ´nidz and Orks respectively and had tooled up accordingly with a Baal, Whirlwind, 2 ´Tornodes, a big-ass Death Company and very shooty Tacticals... Ouch... I hate tooling against the opponent but I usually don´t care too much, but this was a bit different since Matte and I didn´t tool up to kill Beakiez.
Whatever, next time I´ll beat hos sorry ass... ;)
And it was pretty close.

I did kill a lot of Beakiez and only lost in the last turn (turn nine, t´was an Omega Cleanse...) when Da Krusha was glanced and killed by a "6"... I only had the Lobbas left but he only had a damaged ´Speeder and five Beakiez (4+1). A good scrap!

The next game, against Matte´s bug-eyez was another loss. Again I had to play an Escalation (Take & Hold this time) which sucks gig hairy balls for the Lobbas...
I played more like an Ork that to win and krumped lots of weedy bug-eyez but in the end, only two Kanz (in Combat with the ´fex and a wounded snake-fing/Zoanthrope) and the lobbas was left. He had a wounded Hive Tyrant (Grimfang gave him two wounds), three Devourer-gaunts, the wounded Zoanthrope and ´fex left.

His list was roghly:

Hive Tyrant w. venom cannon, scything talons, extra S and crap.

3 Warriors, carapace, extra S and a venom cannon, barbed strangler and devourer.

10 Devourer gaunts with extra S.

16 Homargaunts.

16 Spinegaunts.

8 ´stelaers w. carapace.

Gun-´fex (venom cannon and barbed strangler).

The weedy Hive Tyrant refused to face my ded´ard and propa´ Boss until he was wounded by the Ravener (I killed it though) and then he was an easy target... Next time I´ll get it..!
Funnily enough, the Tankbustas rocked..! They killed the Warriors and Hormagaunts while the Sluggas wiped out the Spinegaunts but was countercharged by the Hormagaunts in turn 4 (when they appaered) and killed... The Kanz accounted for the ´stealers and I passed more ´plate-saves than I failed..! Hehe.

Finally, painting-wise I think I´ve solved the "skin-issue"... Dark Angels Green followed by Snot Green followed by Goblin Green seems okay. I´ll try more on my Gobboz/Grots (which will soon be retired so it doesn´t matter how they looks like really...).
Maybe I can report more modelling and painting stuff next time...

Oi, juss so ya noz, I´m back an more propa´dan eva!

Yepp, a W.I.P. of the my Warboss, Grimfang Gogulk in his Sunday-suit. ;) I still have to add the bosspole, the big horns (will put them as tusks on the gob, just like Alex Boyd´s Warboss from numerous WD´s). The head is from the stock Warboss and I clipped off one of the kustom-shoota´s barrells and glued on the muzzle of a Dread-scorcha. Not really much conversion but it don´t look like Ghazgkhull either, or so I think, so I´m satisfied.
I must say, I´m extremely happy about the base, it looks way more propa´, the 40mm base was just way too weedy..!

As for the Carnage, it was a success! We turned out to be eight players so got two boards. I ended up on the same board as UltraBeakies (Jocke) on my right and Bug-eyez on my left (Matte) and Dark Panzees on the other side.
I brought this:

Yupp, lots of half-painted and even unpainted guys... The Dark Panzees was in a similar situation but the Bug-eyez and Ultra Beakies was all but finished... On the other hand, they preferred my Orks over my Beakies (the other board had three Beakie-armies and one Tin-´ed players, *pukes*).

I moved last and tried to push forward through the terrain but was slowed down. Jocke never engaged me, was probably afraid of my Dread and Kanz he did see due to terrain even though they were very close.
Sadly the game ended after just 6 turns (even though we used the 3rd Ed. rules with another turn on a 2+ and then on a 3+ etc.), I had lost the Shootas, the Dread, 2 Kanz with the third immobilized and without its big shoota plus six Grots and the Buggy. That´s light casulties..!
The weedy Bug-eyez won due to two unengaged ´stealers close to theobjective. My boss was closer but engaged by their Hive Tyrant so could not claim the objective.
He did manage to give the Hive Tyrant three wounds though, as well as stomping five Homargaunts.
Other casulties i inflicted included one Whirlwind (the Tankbustas), one Djonk... Er, Raider... (also the Tankbustas) 16 Spine gaunts but the weedy Bugs had without numbers and came back so I had to kill the again! ;) The Sluggas were engaged with them in the last turn, 20 Sluggas vs. 8 Spinegaunts...
Big Shoota fire killed two Tyranid Warriors and a ´stealer while the Grots killed two Ultrabeakies whom stayed too close...
We concluded, that with another turn I would have the objecyive and be able to charge the Carnifex with my Sluggas while the Tyrant was in deep trouble against the Warboss, sadly, I didn´t get another turn 8oh, and the Dark Panzees and Ultrabeakies basically wiped each other out! ;) )

It was a great game and my Warboss lead the advance from the front, heroically charging that weedy, big bug-eye and gave it a good krumpin´! Next time I´ll have my lobster-trophy...

On the other board, the Tin-edz were wiped out in turn 2 (!!!) by Blud-Beakiez while Gay-Matte´s Beakies (led by a Chaplain and Master in termie-armour, accompanied by a Command Squad with 2 asscans each..! :P ) won by shooting the living crap out of the Deff-Kompany. Another Ultrabeakie-player was very defensive and lots few stuff but was never close to the centre...

Weedy ooman, ´aven´t taken dose pics yet...

That´s right, I´ve been a little too busy so haven´t had them time to take pics of the whole Ork-horde yet... Maybe tomorrow... :P
In the meantime, here´s an old pic of most of the stuff I have built so far.

It´s one Warboss with six Nobz in his bodyguard, all of ´em mounted in a Wartrukk.
Twenty Slugga Boyz, sixteen Shoota Boyz (only twelve in the pic), ten Kommandos, twenty Grots, three Lobbas (three Gretchin krew each), three Killa Kanz and one Dread plus a Scorcha Buggy.

After this pic was taken the Lobbas have been finished (though not the krew) and the Dread and kanz have been sprayed and the Sluggas have their bases finsihed...
Not much but I´m working on it! ;)
Oh, and I´ve build three and a half Tankbustas! (More on them in another post.)

I do have a LOT of unbuilt stuff though and just bought even more..! Lying in my room I have (unbuilt stuff): Twenty Tankbustas, about twenty Boyz (Sluggas), one Dread, one Trukk, one Scorcha Buggy, eighteen Grots plus a Slaver and nine Skarboyz (will tell you more about those conversions later).
And as if that was not enough, I just sold some of my 13th Co. (the painted 1500p on my Pbase) and bought eleven (!!!) Grot blisters plus a friends Ork army..!
He decided he didn´t have time for them and will concentrate on his Armoured Company (2000p+), Cadians (2000p+) and Death World Veterans (1500p) and asked if I wanted to buy this Ork stuff:

Two Trukks, two Trakks, one Warboss, about sixty Boyz, seven konverted Skarboyz, eight konverted Cyborks plusa Painboss, a bunch of Nobz, one with Mega Armour, a Killa Kan, three Warbikes (one Nob with a ´klaw) and another Kan..!
I agreed and got it pretty cheap and best of all, most of it is unpainted! Yes, that´s a good thing for me! ;)

Finally, I´ve asked Krooza on Da Whaagh! for a Lungbursta-conversion, seems like we have adeal and he will build one for me. I´ll just have to add battle-damage, rivits and some plates to it. Good, as that will force me to start working with Plasticard. :)
I will use it as either a) A Looted Leman Russ or b) Looted Demolisher (count-as rules ya know! ;) ).

Seems like I have quite a few ladz under my kommand and is no longer a lowly Warboss but a propa´ Warlord! 8-)
Well, when I´ve painted some more stuff atleast...

At the top of this post is a pic of Grimfang Gogulk himself (ie. me!). I´ve sprayed the model and painted the base since that pic but not anything else. Want to try some skin-colours and test them on my Grots first.

Speaking on Grots, I´ve decided to phase out my current Grots... I converted them from common Goblins and they look okay but I want the plastic Grots!! They´re really too good looking to not have! And I got those eleven blisters pretty cheap, a Swedish Online Store have 10% during December and they´re usually cheap. Was too good an opportunity to not grab, especially since I´ve just sold those weedy 13th Co. of mine (I still have 3000p of 13th Co. so they´re fine)

Roight ya zoggers, I´m back! And I´ve got a few new pics of the slippery Kommandos of mine...

I did them a month or two ago but haven´t sprayed them yet... I´m afraid I´ll ruin them with my mdeiocre painting but I´ve run out of excuses to not give them a lick of Chaos Black...
Anyways, it´s basically Ork Boyz with some WHFB bitz, mainly the Command Sprue´s legs and a few torsos plus the dagger arms from the main WHFB Orc Boyz sprue. I chose those for their sneeky´ look. :D
The backpacks are from Cadian and Catachan Heavy Weapon Boxes plus a Cadian radio/comm-link/vox-thing-y and they fir perfectly! Also added a few rolls from the IG vehicle accessory sprue on top of some of them. I wanted them to look like a small Recon unit and must say they turned out better than I could hope for..!
Oh, and the berets, I PM´ed Sneeky Git of Da Whaaagh! and asked him how he did his (his Kommandos were my inspiration) and got loads of good ideas and help. Quase (another guy from the Netherlands I think, Arjan) gave additional advice.
I´ve yet to give them a beret-badge and don´t know how to fix that either... Might have to wait with that detail and I think I´ll paint them first, shouldn´t be any problem to add those later, when I´ve found something I can use.
Rambork, the Nob, has a shoota-scorcha with shootier and more dakka upgrades, a power klaw (might also get modified to represent a bionik arm), iron gob and three ammo-runts.
Seriously expensive but it´s more a fun Mob to medel and display than to help me win games...
The guy to the right from Rambork has a big shoota, originally I had a Burna but decided it was too weedy and the flamer part was not that necessary due to Rambork´s scorcha so I changed it into a big shoota. I like those, really much and it felt more *right*, one Kommando-dude with a big machine-gun! 8-) He turned out very nice I think but the ammo-belts where a pain in the ass to clean from flash...
As for the ammo-runts, they´re hardly necessary either but I think they fit these ladz. One have a map, not that great for WYSISYG-purposes, but what the hell... The map fits!
The next one have some nut-squigs which will help to refresh the Kommandos when they´re firing while the last one have an ammo-box, ammo-belt and some grenades. Looks ded´ard and propa´!

Juss so ya noz dis ere is a propa´ Ork-blog, not dis weedy panzee stuff. Grimfang Gogulk will use dis spot to show of ´is ladz as da horde grows.
Ere we go, Ere we go, Ere we go...

That´s right, a new Blog! I´m back and will try to use it this time... ;P I will use it for my growing Ork-army, Grimfang Gogulk´s Goff warband.
At the moment I have about 1500p assembled Orks, not very balanced though, and counting. Only a few things are painted but some are sprayed and have their bases started on... And that´s the reason for this blog, to show the progress as I model and paint da lot! 8-)

Above are my Big Gunz Battery, three Lobbas. They´re the only fully-painted models so i have some stuff to do! Tomorrow I´ll add some more pics of the assembled but not painted stuff, keep your eyes peeled!
